The official cause of death of American actress Suzanne Somers has been revealed.
According to her death certificate, obtained on Thursday by The Blast, the actress died from breast cancer, which had metastasized to her brain.
According to the site, Somers’ death certificate listed her immediate cause of death as “breast cancer with metastasis to the brain”.
A biopsy confirmed the revelation, but an autopsy was not completed. Other underlying conditions that contributed to her death were hypertension and hydrocephalus. According to the certificate, the actress died at 5:30 am on October 15th.
Somers’ poignant death was announced by her longtime publicist through a statement saying: “Suzanne Somers passed away peacefully at home in the early morning of October 15th. She survived an aggressive form of breast cancer for over 23 years. Suzanne was surrounded by her loving husband Alan, her son Bruce, and her immediate family.”
