Denise Mercedes is a Dominican plus-size model who wears a size 14. She is also an entrepreneur who knows how to spot an opportunity.

She came up with the idea to create what she calls the “Style not Size” challenge. She invited her friend Maria Castellanos to do a series of photos and videos where they both wear exactly the same outfits.
In some of the videos, they perform choreographed dances. In others, and in the photos, they simply pose to show how each outfit fits on different body shapes.
With this initiative, Denise has gained 1.7 million followers on TikTok alone. Her videos have already been viewed over 30.6 million times there.
The spread of this content on social media doesn’t stop there. The model also has profiles with these videos and photos on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter.
Oh, and Denise’s entrepreneurial side shines through on the website she created, which bears her name. There, interested buyers of any size can purchase the outfits shown in the images.
