Breast milk as skincare may seem strange, but in an interview with “Nylon” magazine, singer Halsey revealed that one of her beauty secrets is this.

The artist claims that this liquid is the “best ingredient for the skin.”
“I’ve always been very conscious of what goes on my skin, but when your baby is kissing you and snuggling with you, you become even more concerned about what you’re putting on your face,” she said.
Doctor Fernanda Nichelle explained that breast milk contains lactic acid, which is an excellent moisturizer for the skin. It also contains amino acids, lipids, stem cells, and “good” bacteria called probiotics.

“However, there is no scientific evidence that these ingredients have any benefit when applied directly to the skin. The healing power of breast milk is known, and it is often used to assist in the treatment of cracked nipples during breastfeeding,” emphasized the beauty expert.

Breast milk is recommended as skincare

Fernanda reinforces her thesis that it is not recommended, as there are no studies corroborating the effectiveness of the product.
“Remember also that if you choose to use it, you should always be careful to use your own breast milk, as there may be a risk of contamination with infectious diseases such as HIV,” concluded the professional.
