The announcement was made by her manager, Guy Oseary, through social networks. However, the American pop star has been hospitalized since last Saturday (24).

“Her health is improving, but she is still under medical care. A full recovery is expected,” he wrote in a statement on Instagram.

Despite not going into detail about the singer’s health, such as the type of bacteria, organ affected, and symptoms presented, the manager reported that due to the artist’s health condition, the “Celebration” tour, scheduled to start on July 15, had to be postponed.

Doctor Roberto Debski ( General Clinic CRM 58806/SP), a general practitioner who sees patients in Santos -SP, explained what can cause a bacterial infection and how the treatment is performed.

In general terms, bacterial infection means disease caused by pathogenic bacteria. It can occur mainly through contact with secretions or through water, food, and contaminated objects.

“A bacterial infection is caused by a microorganism, bacteria. It is one of several types of microorganisms that can cause infections, as well as viruses, protozoa, fungi. The bacterial infection occurs when the person becomes contaminated and this bacteria will affect some target organ,” the doctor points out.

Dr. Debski explains that infections can be simple or severe: “A tonsillitis, a boil, a pneumonia, a bacterial gastroenteritis. There are several types of bacteria that can cause problems and diseases, according to the organ that this bacterium infects,” he exposed.

Symptoms can vary. However, the most common are: high fever; localized pain in the affected region/organ, fatigue, nausea and vomiting, and even edema.

Hospitalization

In general, treatment is given by antibiotics, but there are cases where the patient does not respond to medication.
The doctor explains that hospitalization occurs in cases of intense infection and the situation requires monitoring of vital signs.

“It depends on each person, their immunity, the aggressiveness of this bacterium, it can become a very serious bacterial infection,” he warns.
